THE AMERICA'S CUP RACE VILLAGE
The America’s Cup Race Village is where you want to be in the middle of the action and experience the buzz of the event off the water. The Village is completely FREE throughout all America's Cup events and it is located in the Viaduct Marina, the heart of Auckland.
It has been a long held objective of the Defender, Emirates Team New Zealand since winning in Bermuda, that the 36th America’s Cup presented by PRADA be the most inclusive and easily viewed America’s Cup ever. And this vision has been supported by all stakeholders involved in the events. The waterfront will allow a FREE experience accessible for everyone, connecting people to boats, team bases and event. The Village spreads across the waterfront beginning at Hobson Wharf, continuing through Te Wero Island, Eastern Viaduct, North Wharf up to the Silo Park area. -
RACE VILLAGE ACTIVATIONS
The Race Village has begun an exciting roll out of village activations. Locals and visitors to Auckland have had a taste of the America’s Cup Race Village experience during the ACWS and the PRADA Cup, but just as you can expect a whole lot of great action on the water for the America’s Cup Match, it’s heating up just as much on shore.

OPENING TIMES AND ENTRANCES
The America’s Cup Race Village has a limited visitor capacity and is open everyday through to the end of March. The village operates from 10am until 9pm on racing days and from 10am until 6pm on non racing days.
The main entrance is located at the beginning of Hobson Wharf where two entrance towers will herald the start of the village experience and help visitors navigate the area. A second entrance is between North Wharf Promenade and Karanga Plaza, whereas a third access is located at Silo Park close to the Jellicoe St Car Park. -
ACCESSIBILITY PLAN
Please be aware that the 36th America’s Cup presented by PRADA Race Village is fully accessible for all walks of life. All the buildings inside the Race Village are accessible to people with limited mobility and wheelchairs, including the AC75 Simulator, the viewing area of the Main Stage and the AC36 Official Merchandise Store. All restrooms within the Race Village also have accessible options.

TEAM BASES
The Defender Emirates Team New Zealand base is located on Halsey Wharf at the Viaduct Events Centre. The team moved to the new base in October 2018.
The Challenger of Record Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli base is situated at the end of Hobson Wharf. The Challengers, New York Yacht Club American Magic and INEOS TEAM UK are located on Wynyard Point, an area that was formerly known locally as 'the tank farm’ that since the victory in 2017, Emirates Team New Zealand, the Government and the Auckland Council have been working relentlessly to fast track and reform. -
VILLAGE STAGE AND BIG SCREENS
Two big screens are located in strategic positions within the Race Village. The main one is on Te Wero Island where the America’s Cup stage is located. Here fans will have the chance to meet the sailors during the different opportunities that racing will offer such as opening ceremonies, presentations and dock-out shows, as well as concerts, cultural activities and racing action.
Other big screens are strategically positioned in Silo Park and on Halsey Wharf. Together with the main one on the Te Wero Island, they will also show live racing and more America’s Cup related content, such as highlights, behind the scene, past races and much more. -
OFFICIAL AC36 MERCHANDISE AND AC75 SIMULATOR
On the Eastern Viaduct fans will be able to buy official merchandise of the Event and the America’s Cup teams, a few metres further on, the bravest can test their skills on the AC75 simulator, where advanced graphics and a real AC75 mock-up allow test pilots a chance to experience what it feels to sail these revolutionary flying monohulls.

TE POU
Te Pou is a New Zealand themed bar and restaurant situated on Te Wero island in the heart of the America’s Cup Race Village. Opening in December and operating right up until the end of the 36th America’s Cup presented by PRADA at the end of March, Te Pou will offer public and private bar and dining options including morning coffee, lunch, dinner and evening bar snacks. Sit back, relax and watch the activity of the Viaduct Marina and the racing on the screens whilst enjoying some of New Zealand’s best food and beverage.

MUMM YACHT CLUB
G.H. Mumm, the official Champagne partner of the 36th America's Cup, will be present for all celebratory moments of the legendary race with their two-storey bar, the “Mumm Yacht Club”. Situated in Te Wero, the custom-built bar opens from the 15th December till March 21st, and it will be your premium destination this summer!
Designed specifically for the legendary sailing race featuring a harbour-front terrace, guests to the space will be immersed in a premium G.H. Mumm experience including:

SPARK 5G RACE ZONE
The Spark 5G Race Zone is a free, all ages showcase of the amazing tech that Emirates Team New Zealand use to make their boat go faster. Located at the ground floor on Emirates Team New Zealand base east facade, you can explore the ultimate high tech world of innovation and see how the team have pushed the limits of design using Spark 5G, as they prepare for the 36th America’s Cup. COCA-COLA AMATIL DRINKS STOP AND THE SILO PARK
The Coca-Cola Amatil Drinks Stop is located at the beginning of the Wynyard Wharf. The structure incorporates recycled, upcycled and sustainable materials, including old Emirates Team New Zealand sails. The hub will raise awareness of the importance of recycling bottles and cans so they can have another life, again and again. Visitors can enjoy a cold refreshing beverage then dispose of their bottle via a central interactive recycling station.
The drinks stop will pave the way to Silo Park, an area dedicated to families with a playground for kids, food and beverage stations, a maxi screen and a 3D photo wall. Plenty to entertain the family, both on racing and non racing days.
